Tammy Verrett Abshire, 54, of Longville, passed away on Tuesday January 26, 2021 in the comfort of her home.
Although Tammy was a native of Houma, as a young lady, Tammy met the love of her life, George Abshire, and together they established their home in Moss Bluff. Coming from a very large family, she enjoyed simple things such as camping, fishing, doing crafts and the outdoors. Tammy was the backbone of the family and was always the one to take care of any matter at hand.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Doris and Norris Verrett, and three brothers. Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her beloved husband of 40 years, George Abshire; son, George Abshire, Jr. (Patryce); grandchildren, (the light of her eyes), Beau and Sierra Abshire; one brother and four sisters; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family of the heart.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday January 29, 2021 with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
