Tammy George Rogers, 42, of Lake Charles, died suddenly on Thursday November 28, 2019.
Tammy was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She was attended Barbe High School and a member of Water’s Edge Church in Lake Charles. Known for her caring heart for others, she often volunteered as a care giver for her friends and family and always put the needs of others before her own. She was especially dedicated to her father, who just a few short months ago, preceded her in death. Her love of others expanded to her four-legged furry friends and two legged feathered friends as well, giving a home and extending love to all creatures. Tammy also enjoyed spontaneous trips with her husband from day trips to see the grandchildren in Houma to taking a cruise in the Gulf.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kent Alan George and mother, Cheryl Leigh Daughtery. She leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, beloved husband, Preston Rogers, Lake Charles; children, Lauren (Shannon) Bradbury, Lake Charles; Lindsay Firmin (Lance Pellegrin), Houma; and Cole Chapman, Lake Charles; and Adriana and Angelle Rogers, Lake Charles; grandchildren (and light of her life) Luke and Easton Pellegrin, Houma; brothers, Chad (Kim) George, Sulphur and Scott George, Lake Charles; nieces and nephews, Riley, Bailey, Caiden and Abbi; and numerous cousins and extended family of the heart.
Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2019 with a Celebration of Tammy’s Life beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastor Tony Bourque will officiate.
