Terrell Lynn Duhon

Terrell Lynn Duhon, Sr., 56, of Lake Charles, LA died Friday, May 13, 2016 in a local care facility surrounded by his loving family.

Terrell was born on January 12, 1960 in Lake Charles, LA to Edward and Mary Duhon.  A lifelong resident of the Prien Lake area. Terrell was also the co-owner of Duhon House Moving Company. He was a much respected business man throughout Louisiana and Texas. Terrell was a graduate of Barbe High School where he was a star basket ball and football player. He loved riding horses and attending trail rides. He taught his children how to make a living and will always be known for being an outgoing and friendly person. His personality spoke for itself.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Joan Green Duhon of Lake Charles, LA, partners for 30 years and united in Holy matrimony for 24 years; three children, Sharay Duhon (Derrell Jr.), Jade Duhon (Derrell Sr.) of Mamou, LA and Terrell “ T. J.” Duhon Jr. (Alecia); two stepchildren, Raymond Broussard, and Jeannine Broussard all of Lake Charles, LA; fifteen grandchildren; one sister, Daisy Day Walker; four brothers, Edward Leon "Bubba" Duhon, Charles "Mark" Duhon and wife Yvette ,Gerald Edward Duhon all of Lake Charles, La ,Donald Patrick Duhon and wife Rose of Jeanerette, La; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; and  other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Frank Duhon; brother, Willie Ray Duhon; brother-in-law, Jim Walker, Sr. and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mable and Vincent Green.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Deacon William Cooks will officiate services.
