Terrence "T.J." Hayes

Terrence “T.J.” John Hayes, 56, of Sulphur, passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday, March 19,2024. T.J. was a special soul who always endeavored to put others before himself. He would help anyone out even when he didn’t have much himself. T.J. took great pride in his flooring business he had for many years. T.J. loved to fish and was known to gamble from time to time. He loved to pick with and argue with people to the point of aggravation at times. T.J. loved football, especially his team, the Saints. Above all of this, T.J. loved his children and especially his grandchildren. As long as his grandchildren were around, T.J. was happy. It didn’t matter if it was a simple ride to the store, or a memory making trip of some kind, when there was a grandchild with him, it was special.

Those left to cherish T.J.’s memory are his children, KeiriAnna Sperier (Trey), Lakisha Hayes, TeeJay Hayes (Charlotte); grandchildren, Yaz’mine, Anthony, David, Kyla, Harper, Hunter, Paislee, Oaklee; mother, Sharon Doherty; sister Desiree Johnson (Kurt); nephews, Darrell Martin, and Devin Martin.

T.J. Is preceded in death by his dad, Melvin Hayes, and grandmother, Anna Mason.

Services for T.J. will be held at 4 PM on Friday, March 22,2024, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of services.
