Terry F. Williams

Terry Franklin Williams, 54, of Lake Charles died Saturday, October 9, 2010.

Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and was a graduate of LaGrange High School. He worked most of his life as a Teamster in the Construction Industry; the past 8 years have been for Turner Industries. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Bass Club. Mr. Williams also enjoyed coaching his girls' softball teams when they were younger and followed his "little athletes" softball careers to adulthood. His greatest times were those he spent with his family, as he was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Mr. Williams will be most remembered as a "giving man with a huge heart".

He leaves to honor his memory, his daughters, Crystal Fontenot and Carla Williams; two grandchildren, Caden and Claire Fontenot; his mother, Ollie Dean Newsom and one brother, Darrell Williams, all of Lake Charles; two sisters, Sarah Guidry and husband Pat of Westlake and Wanda Richard and husband Curtis of Lake Charles; brother- in law, Phil Broussard of Lake Charles; fiance', Cathy Ary of Lake Charles and her daughter, Lacy Moss and granddaughter, Alexis Moss, of Sulphur; two step- brothers, Pierce "Boots" Newsom and wife Sherry of Sulphur and Tony Newsom of Missouri and two step- sisters, Debbie Newsom of Indiana and Reba Newsom of Westlake. He also leaves his "favorite niece", Sandy Ellzey of Westlake and numerous nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mack Henry Williams; step- father, Lee Newsom; one brother, David Williams and one sister, Sharon Broussard.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Mark Stagg will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Tuesday will be from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
