Thelma Jean Theriot

            Thelma Jean Theriot of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.

            Mrs. Theriot born December 25, 1930 was raised in Moss Bluff, LA.  She was a dedicated housewife and loving mother to six boys.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Cathedral where she served on the Altar Society.

            She was preceded in death by her husband Leon C. Theriot, parents Richard and Minnie Silvia, brothers, Melvin, Tom, Richard “Hap” and Floyd Silvia.

            She leaves to honor her memory, six sons, Stephen Theriot, Douglas Theriot and wife Sandra, Timothy Theriot and wife Stacey, Patrick Theriot and wife Karen, Michael Theriot and wife Anne, Matthew Theriot and wife Valerie, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one on the way.

           Visitation will begin at Johnson Funeral Home Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will resume on Friday, April 22, 2016, from 8:00 AM until 1:30 PM at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 2:00 PM Friday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Father Rommel Tolentino serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
