Thelma Marie Cook Lafanette

Mrs. Thelma Marie Cook Lafanette’s journey began on July 24, 1917. She was born to Mr. Ulyses Cook and Miss Eugenie Broussard. She was blessed with five boys and two girls.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. Ulyses and Mrs. Eugenie Broussard Cook, husband Leroy Lafanette, two daughters, Beatrice Cormier and Geraldine Sias and son Jessie Cormier.

She leaves to mourn four sons; Charles (Chenese) Cook of Las Vegas, Nevada, Henry (Geralyn) Young of Lake Charles, Louisiana, William (Jennifer) Cooks of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Eldridge (Amanda) Lafanette of Houston, Texas.

She has seventeen grandchildren, seventy-seven great grandchildren, thirty-two great, great grandchildren and nine great, great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
