Theodore J. "Teddy" LaBiche, 71, of LeBleu Settlement passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014. Mr. LaBiche was born and raised in Lake Charles and has lived the past forty years in LeBleu Settlement. He was a graduate of Lake Charles High School, attended McNeese State University and served the United States Army. He worked most of his life as a Teamster with Teamster's Local Union #969. During his younger years, Mr. LaBiche was a talented All American Athlete, played High School Football. He was also a boxer with Dailey's Golden Gloves Boxing Club and was a LA State Champion. His later years, he enjoyed vegetable gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was as a devoted Catholic. Mr. LaBiche was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Treasurer and C.C.D. Teacher. He will be most remembered as a "good, hard working man", very well known and very well liked. He leaves to honor his memory, four sons, Darin LaBiche of LeBleu Settlement, Kevin LaBiche and wife Sarah of Youngsville, Teddy LaBiche and wife Audra and Trenton LaBiche and girlfriend Megan, both of Lake Charles; one daughter, Crystal Petross and husband Daniel of Moss Bluff; twelve grandchildren; one unborn granddaughter; one unborn great-grandchild; one brother, Carl LaBiche of LeBleu Settlement and good friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty years, Patricia Thibodeaux LaBiche; two brothers, Donald and Maxie LaBiche and two sisters, Barbara Arabie and Genevieve Prince. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, February 27, 2014 at St. Raphael Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Father Andreas Kedati will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday will be from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a scripture service and rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Thursday will be from 9:00 AM until 12:15 PM in the funeral home.
