Theophile Duplechain, Sr.

Theophile Duplechain Sr., 72, of Sulphur died at 1:43 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in his residence with his loving family at his side.

Theophile was born in Church Point, Louisiana on December 31, 1939 to the parents of Cora and Alse Duplechain. He lived most of his life in the Lake Charles area most of his adult life. He was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School. He also attended Sowella Technical School. Mr. Duplechain worked at PPG for more than 38 years before retiring. In his spare time Theophile loved to play golf, travel, fish and talk about religion and politics.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Audrey Guillory Duplechain of Sulphur, LA, one son Theophile Duplechain, Jr., and his wife Vanessa of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, two daughters Rosalind Duplechain of Carrolton, GA, and Cynthia Richardson and husband Michael of Lake Charles, one brother Joseph Duplechain and wife Lois, three sisters Arlita Duplechain, Elizabeth Wilson and husband Shelby all of Lake Charles, LA, Joselyn Anderson and husband Kellin of Fernando Beach, CA, three grandchildren Michael Richardson Jr., Theophile Duplechain III, and Victoria Duplechain.

Theophile is preceded in death by his parents Cora and Alse Duplechain.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 5:00 PM from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael Honore and Deacon Edward Lavine will officiate. The body was cremated.
