Theresa Blanco

Theresa Blanco peacefully passed away on June 28, 2023, at a New Orleans hospital with family by her side.  Born December 1, 1946, to Bernice and Avery Burke.
Theresa was a very selfless person with a kind loving and giving heart that always put others before herself.  She enjoyed working with ceramics, taking care of her plants and admiring the beauty of wildflowers.  Taking care of people and giving gifts brought much joy to her.  Her most favorite hobbies were rock digging and hunting for arrow heads which was part of her family heritage.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Those left to cherish memory are her children, Bernice Thomas and Brad Thomas, Dianne Simien, Louis Dean, Jr., Rio Blanco, Charles Oscar Blanco, Jr., and Laney Blanco; grandchildren, Cody Thomas, Bradley Rainwater, Avis Porter, Samuel Simien, Jr., Lacey Alexis Ross, Aliya Young, and Zadon Blanco; siblings, Amanda Stewart, Melissa McQuire, Marcy Sanchez, Miron Burke, Edgar Landry, and Krystal Boudreaux.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Avery Burke.
Funeral Services will be at 4:00 PM, followed by a Cursillo Rosary at 5:00 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
