Theresa Esthay Stutes

Theresa Esthay Stutes, 72, passed away at her residence on February 18, 2018.

She was born on December 22, 1945 in Lake Charles, LA to Raymond and Eola Miller Esthay.  She spoke her mind, was said to be a mother to everyone she knew and will be remembered for her generosity. She worked hard for her family and lived for her children, grandchildren, and beloved dog, JoJo.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Anthony (Tony) Stutes; daughter, Tara Mouhot (Greg); grandchildren, Lauren Stutes, Alexis Pousson (Garet), Ryan Stutes, Nick Mouhot, Nicole Mouhot, and Anna Mouhot; great-grandchildren, Liam Mouhot and Jackson Pousson; brothers, Michael Esthay (Susan) and Michael Shane Bonvillian; the father of her children, Paul Floyd Stutes; mother-in-law, Lorena Stutes; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Margaret Rogers, Francis Esthay, Raymond Esthay, Annie Buchert, Linda Granger, and Edward Esthay.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Johnson Funeral Home from 4 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at a later date.
