Theresa Jane House

Theresa Jane Symons House, 79, died at 12:45 AM on Thursday, September 4, 2014 in a local hospital. Mrs. House was born June 13, 1935 in Dover, NJ and was raised in Wharton, NJ. She settled in Lake Charles in 1976 and had lived the past eight years in Midlothian, TX. She worked at Love's and Crisop Labs. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loved and wonderful person who always put others first. She will be missed dearly. Mrs. House is survived by her son, Frank K. House, Jr. and wife Blanche W. House of Leesville; daughters, Tish Hoffpauir and husband James Johnson of Midlothian, TX and Debbie House Martin and husband Lex Martin, Sr. of Lake Charles; sister, Sylvia Buchanan of Newton, NJ; grandchildren, Benjamin Hoffpauir and wife Jennifer, Ross Hoffpauir and partner Randy Brown, Jr., Sarah House, and Lex Martin, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Preslee and Kylee Hoffpauir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank K. House, Sr.; and son, Robert T. House. Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Roger Templeton will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Sunday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
