Theron "T" James Richard, Sr., 44, of Lake Charles died on Saturday, February 19, 2011 in his residence.
"T", also know by his family as "Naughty" was born to Dolores and George Richard on May 28, 1966. He was a Lake Charles native and lived in Houma for part of his childhood. Mr. Richard worked for R and R Construction and CITGO for 21 years.
He attended St. Margaret and St. Louis Catholic schools and was a graduate of Lake Charles Boston.
Mr. Richard was an active member of Glad Tidings Church for the past 14 years and he had given his life to Christ. He was involved in the Royal Rangers program.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Alexia and their six children, Anas, Chloe', T.J., Mate', Loc, and Cyril. He was a loving father and a dedicated husband who cherished his family.
He also leaves behind his mother, Delores Richard; three sisters, Leslie, Deirdra, and Courtney Richard; and two brothers, Patrick and wife Desiree and Kevin and wife Krystal Richard; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Richard was a hard worker and was well known in the community and was always open hearted.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Richard; his sister, Lisa Richard; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 24, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gary Evers will officiate. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
