Thomas G. Stegall, Jr.

February 16, 1965 — August 31, 2010

Thomas "TJ" Stegall, 45, of Lake Charles passed away September 1, 2010 in his residence.

Mr. Stegall was born on February 16, 1965 in Memphis, TN. TJ was a loyal employee for 18 years as office manager at All-Purpose Roofing and Supply. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan who proudly supported and followed his Saints all the way to the Super Bowl championship. TJ also enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing music, cooking and visiting with family and friends.

TJ is survived by his Louisiana adopted family.

He will be greatly missed by Uncle Richard, Aunt Jan, Aunt Marylou, Aunt Brenda, Aunt Annabelle, Uncle Jack, Cousin Stephen, Cousin Dana, Cousin Bart, Aunt Donna Sue, and Granny Stegall.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Stegall; and Uncle Bill and Aunt Nan.

TJ loved his adopted family and he never missed a Sunday get-together at the Benoit's, holiday, birthday, graduation or wedding. With no children of his own, he adopted all the nephews and nieces who lovingly called him TJ. His smile and obvious joy showed when the little ones called him by name. He was loved by the Benoit family as a brother and a friend. He had many friends in Southwest Louisiana and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Don Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
