Thomas Jerome Daly

Thomas Jerome Daly, 70, of Lake Charles passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023.

Mr. Daly was a native of Lake Charles and was born on April 2, 1953 to Jerome and Ann Daly.  Tommy, as he was known by, met his wife, Lannette Theriot, in first grade at ICS and have been together ever since, with 49 years of marriage.  He started Daly’s TV in Lake Charles in 1974 with his father, Jerome Daly, where they were in business until 2000.  He moved to Crowley in 2000 to start Movie World, where it operated until 2014.  Mr. Daly moved back to Lake Charles in 2015 to enjoy retirement with his family and friends.  

He loved making people laugh by telling his seemingly endless stories.  His laugh was so contagious, and he was beloved by his whole family and friends.  His favorite activity to do was watch LSU football games at his brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s, David and Yolande Lemoine, house on Saturdays with his wife.

Those left to cherish his life are his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Lannette Theriot Daly; sons, Chad Daly, Shane Daly (and his wife, April), and Sean Daly; grandson, Henry Harry; brother, Will Daly; and an aunt, Ruby Brame.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Wanda Blackshear, Carolyn Daly, and Diane McKinney.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
