Thomas Leslie Tommy Duplein

Thomas Leslie Duplein, 63, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 8:55 AM on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in a local hospital.

Mr. Duplein was born December 13, 1948 in Kaplan, LA and lived in Lake Charles all of his life. He severed four years in the U.S. Army, where he was an industrial mechanic. He retired in 2009 from the ship yard, where he worked as a welder most of his life. He was raised in the Catholic faith and attended St. Margaret Catholic Church. Tommy loved fishing and hunting and enjoyed repairing and working on mechanical engines. He also collected guns and loved sharing his collection with others.

Mr. Duplein is survived by his brother, Dale Duplein of Lake Charles; nephew, Michael Naquin and wife Kim of Moss Bluff; great-niece, Kyla Naquin; and great-nephew, Wyatt Naquin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lillie Rost Duplein.

His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Scott Conner will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
