Thomas Earl Nolen, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on October 1, 1958, Thomas lived a life full of laughter, love, and dedication to his family and community. His grit and determination are something that was always admired.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Beverly Nolen, whose love and support were the cornerstones of his life. Together, they raised two wonderful children: Stephannie Tanner (Vernon Tanner) and Justin Nolen (Sarah Nolen). Thomas was a proud grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren: Sophia Tanner, Lila Tanner, Corbin Nolen, and Madilyn Nolen, who brought him immense joy and countless cherished memories.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Thomas served his country with honor and pride. After his military service, he became a lineman with Entergy, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his profession. He was incredibly proud of being a lineman and was one of the best. His colleagues admired him not only for his skill but also for his infectious sense of humor that could brighten even the longest of workdays.
Thomas was a dedicated member of the Peace and Harmony Masonic Lodge, where he fostered lasting friendships and contributed to the values of brotherhood and community service. He had an unparalleled ability to make others laugh, often sharing stories and jokes that brought smiles to the faces of those around him. He cherished his family above all else, and his love for them was evident in everything he did. Whether it was family gatherings, holidays, or just quiet moments at home, Thomas's spirit and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barney Sr. and Ruby Green; his mother, Mary Glover; and his sister, Jackie Nolen. He is also survived by his brothers, Barney Green II (Carrie Green) M and Gary Nolen, as well as his sister, Nanette Wright.
Thomas will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at Houston River Baptist Church at 11:00 am on March 1, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am for family and 9:30 am for all other friends and loved ones. Burial at Mimosa Pines North will follow.
