Thomas Witsman

Thomas L. Witsman, 66, of Lake Charles died at 5:15 AM on Friday, October 1, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mr. Witsman was born in Burns City, IN on March 24, 1944 and lived his adult life in Lake Charles. He loved sports and was a die-hard LSU and Green Bay Packers fan.

He enjoyed camping and adored his grandchildren. He was a wonderful father and good friend to many people, young and old.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Betty Witsman of Lake Charles; four children, Brent and Dustin and wife Ashley Witsman all of Lake Charles; Chris Scalisi of Iowa, and Tara Proffitt and husband Chad of Moss Bluff; and seven grandchildren, Mackie Witsman, Ty Thomas Witsman, Lindsey Morgan, Landon Trey Witsman, Dreyke Solano, Zowye Solano, and Nadjia Proffitt.

He was preceded in death by a son, Trey Witsman; and his parents, Roy and Opha Witsman.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Living Way Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Glenn Massey will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of services in the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
