Tiffany Azalea Monceaux of Lake Charles passed away suddenly at home on April 2nd of 2024. She was born in Houston, Texas on October 15, 1991 to Sally Anne (nee Kimmell) and Tracy G. Monceaux. Her big brother, Aaron, was thrilled at her arrival and couldn’t wait for her to get big enough to play.
She is remembered for her unconditional love for her friends and family, for her intelligence and hard work, and for her willingness to help others. She earned her RN in 2023, and she worked at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Lake Charles where she was known for going above and beyond to help her patients.
She began her transgender journey several years ago, and those who knew and loved her were proud of her identity and saw the peace and confidence it brought her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and by her father. She is survived by her mother Sally Monceaux of New York, by her big brother Aaron (Tara) Kimmell of Texas, and by her partner Steffan Saunders of Lake Charles.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Trevor Project (thetrevorproject.org) or local LGTBQ groups.
Private services will be held at a later date.
