Tim Chiasson, 53, of Sweetlake, died Monday November 11, 2013 in a local hospital following a car accident in Sweetlake. Tim was born in Lafayette on January 7, 1960 to Bill and Grace Royer Chiasson. He was a welder in the Lake Charles area for many years and was the owner of Pop's Welding. He attended the St. Patrick Catholic Chapel at Sweetlake. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Granger Chiasson, Sweetlake; stepsons, Rendy Drounette and wife Lori, Lubbock, TX; Jamie Drounette and wife Carrie, Sweetlake; and Jeffry Drounette and Jamie Stine, Sweetlake; four grandsons; mother, Grace Royer Chiasson, Dequincy; two brothers, John Chiasson and wife Ellen, DeQuincy and Kimball Chiasson and wife Ellen, Longville; and one sister, Vanessa Barbery and husband Brian, Texas as well as a host of extended family and friends. Tim was an avid deer and wild hog hunter and also loved fishing. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday November 14 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday November 15, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home with Monsignor Harry Greig officiating. Burial will be at Grangerville Cemetery in Sweetlake. In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Patrick Catholic Church Chapel, 11054 Hwy 384, Lake Charles, LA, 70607 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
