Tina Collette Hebert, 52, of Grand Lake passed away at 3:18 AM on Sunday, April 15, 2018 in a local hospital surrounded by family and friends.
Tina was born on November 27, 1965 in Lake Charles to Pat and Myrle Hebert. She grew up in Grand Lake where she was a graduate of Grand Lake High School. She furthered her education at McNeese State University where she earned an associates degree. Tina enjoyed driving a dump truck for T-Mike and Bubbie Duhon’s Dirt Company for 15 years.
She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for others. Tina loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews, who affectionately called her “Nanny”. Everyone who knew Tina loved her and will remember her as a kind soul who never met a stranger.
Those left to cherish her memory are her step mother, Frances Hebert; siblings, Eldis Hebert, Debet Hebert, Wanda Duhon, and Myles Hebert; half brother, Gary Bertrand; step sister, Pam Scott; Goddaughter and niece, Miranda Oliver; Godson and nephew, Matthew Guillory; and Godson, Garrett Taylor; and nieces and nephews, Charles McKinney, Renee Daigle, Elisha Hebert, Trent Hebert, Clint Guillory, Lucas Hebert, Chance Hebert, Recia Lopez, Bubbie Duhon, Michael Duhon, Jr., and Christy Duhon. She also leaves behind loyal, loving friends, Debbie, Lea, and Jo and her canine companion, Pray Boy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Lacey Broussard.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Scotty Poole will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
Honorary pallbearers will be the nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution for outstanding expenses will be appreciated.
