Tina Silver Amie, 50, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, with her loving family at her side.
Tina was raised in Hackberry and worked in the customer service for many years. Her favorite position was working the Chicken Sales for D & D Poultry Auction. Tina was an active member of Colors for A Cause and was their lifelong Granny Queen. She enjoyed zydeco dancing, shrimping, fishing, and boat rides. She cherished time spent with “Minas Babies” and her family and friends. Tina will be fondly remembered as a very strong woman with a loving and kind nature who was quick to let you know her thoughts.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Jackie Sue Buckalew; maternal grandparents, Horace and Verna Mae Richard; paternal grandparents; Floyd Silver, Sr. and Mary Silver; and her aunt, Stella Simon.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kiley Whatley (Chip) of Hackberry, Kaitlin Thibodeaux (Garrett) of Sulphur; and Kimberly Chandler (Christopher) of Sulphur; additional children, Rheana Vincent and fiancé, Josh Bailey of Sulphur, Caleb Simeon, Haley Schnepf (Big ‘E’) of Sulphur, Robert Foster, Jr. (Victoria) of Sulphur, Dusty Foster (Alexis) of DeQuincy, Alexis Zachary of Lake Charles. Larryssa Gandy (Cody) of Lake Jackson, TX, and D’lain Sittig (Stephen) of Hackberry; her soul mate, Robert Foster, Sr.; parents, father, Floyd Silver and wife, Bernadette of Hackberry; siblings, Patrick Silver of Sulphur; Tabitha Hoffman (Eric) of Sulphur, William Felts, III (Nekiea) of Detroit, Misty Daniels (Rick) of Pasadena; her Godchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She will also be greatly missed by special friends she thought of as “her family”.
Mina’s Babies were the center of her world. Benjamin Whatley, Kanton Thibodeaux, Maslynn Chandler Jaxson Bailey, Kayleigh Foster, Lathan Foster, Mason Foster, Cooper Foster, Maddie Arrant and Kinsley Brown will forever cherish the special bond they had with their Mina.
Funeral Services celebrating Tina’s life will be 10am, Monday, August 2, 2021, at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Pastor Marcus Wade will officiate. Burial will follow at Hackberry Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 9pm, Sunday and resume Monday, 8am until time of service at 10.
