Tony Tramonte

June 29, 1969 — April 29, 2024

Thomas Anthony “Tony” Tramonte, 54, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2024 at his home in Sulphur. He was born on June 29, 1969 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Nicholas J. and Dell Greenlee Tramonte.

Tony was a 1988 graduate and was very proud of his catholic education. He attended McNeese University, where he studied business management and marketing. He was a member of the National Guard and a Desert Storm Veteran. The best days of his life were those spent with his family and friends and being such a wonderful advocate and servant for his community. He particularly loved a summer day spent in the pool with his grandchildren, eating popsicles and grilling something on the BBQ pit.

Tony was serving his second term as the District 15 Police Juror. He took great pride in his work as the Chairman of the Special Services District Review Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Public Works Committee and Chairman of the Personnel Policy Review Committee, while also serving as the Liaison of West Cal-Cam Hospital. Tony spent over 25 years in the car industry and was most recently working as the Fleet and Commercial Manager at Mike Willis Ford in Sulphur. He loved the Sulphur Tors and would often be heard cheering them on every Friday. He was a charter member and analyst for the Tornado Radio Network. He was an involved and engaged community leader who leaves behind a great legacy of public service. He will be missed dearly.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his beloved wife of 33 years, Kristi Simon Tramonte; his children, Nicolas Tramonte (Bethany), Bryce Tramonte Trahan (Stryker); his mother, Dell Faye Tramonte; his grandchildren, Cruz Tramonte, Rhodes Tramonte, Grey Tramonte, Kyle Trahan, Kolby Trahan; his sisters, Kelly Billeaudeaux (Kirk), Beth Land (David), Michelle Tramonte; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vicki Gaspard and Marvin Gaspard; and multiple nieces and nephews and godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas J. Tramonte; his brother-in-law, Kyle Ray Simon; his father-in-law, Manny Dronet.

His funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel, located at 4321 Lake Street. Rev. Josh Page will serve as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
