Tressie Thibodeaux

Tressie Richard Thibodeaux, 86, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 5:41 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in her residence. Mrs. Thibodeaux was born November 19, 1928 in Port Barre, LA and has lived in Lake Charles since 1948. She retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a cafeteria manager, spending many of those years at Nelson Elementary. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and a former member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Margaret Catholic Church. She was an extraordinary cook, who loved her family dearly. Mrs. Thibodeaux is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Belton Thibodeaux Sr.; sons, Belton Joseph Thibodeaux, Jr. and wife Diane and Carl James Thibodeaux ; daughter, Jacqueline Maria Anderson and husband Don, all of Lake Charles; five grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Kelly, Andrew, and Taylor; and five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Natalie, Abigail, Landon, and Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred Richard and Elvie Brassieur Going. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father Ruben Buller will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the funeral home from 8:00 AM until 12:40 PM.
