On Sunday, May 19, 2013 Treville Oliver Arceneaux was called home by our Heavenly Father. He was surrounded by his loving family and precious wife of 75 years, Velma Marie Arceneaux. He waited until she arrived at the hospital and held his hand before taking his last breath. Treville was born March 29, 1919 to Gaston Pierre and Odile Marie Arceneaux in Church Point, LA. He grew up to become a painter and dug water wells throughout Cajun Country. He married Velma in 1938 and they moved to Sulphur in 1954. Treville worked for the Calcasieu Parish School Board until his retirement. Treville, Pop , is survived by his cherished wife, Velma, of Sulphur; and his only beloved daughter, Nell Arceneaux Chamblee and husband, Don of Sulphur, LA, their daughter, Annette Chamblee Belcher and husband, Steven of Lake Charles, LA. Pop , as he was fondly called had three beautiful grandchildren, Joseph, Treville, and Jillyan and her fiance, Ethan. He was graced by being the patriarch of five generations when his great-great granddaughter, Avery was born. Pop also had two additional great-great grandchildren, Hunter and Kirstyn who visited him often. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10: 00 AM at Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church in Sulphur, LA. Deacon Johnny Monceaux will officiate. Burial will be in Bigwoods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited in the funeral home at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Steven Belcher, Treville Belcher, Ethan Bevlaqua, Kermit Arceneaux, Keith Arceneaux and Byron Arceneaux and honorary pallbearer, Joseph Belcher.
