Trinity Lee Bays

Trinity Lee Bays passed this life on December 9, 2021 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles Louisiana at the age of 47.

He was born on June 18, 1974 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He attended elementary school in Chickasha, Oklahoma and High School in Okeene, Oklahoma. He also studied at MIT in Massachusetts. Trinity served our country honorably and faithfully in the Army National Guard and was the co-owner of MB Knives LLC in Lake Charles, Louisiana with his business partner Michael Moss. Together, they worked Gun shows in and around the Louisiana area selling their knives and camping equipment.

Trinity loved tinkering with electronics and building things, he built many Ham Radio antennas. He was an avid Ham Radio operator and belonged to ARRL for Ham Radio operators. Trinity also loved camping and hiking he had fond memories of hiking the Appalachian Trail. He enjoyed Hammock camping and spent many days doing so in the Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana with his best friend Mike. They then enjoyed making U tube videos reviewing camping equipment that they used. He also camped and hiked in Northern New Mexico going almost to the top of Wheeler Peak reaching Williams Lake at an altitude of 11,040 feet. He spent time camping on family property close to Angle Fire, New Mexico.

When he was young, Trinity followed his favorite band Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead around the country doing hair weaves, making jewelry and tie dye t-shirts for the fans. He was known as a dead header!

Trinity would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, he was always willing to help out, he helped his neighbors following the devastating hurricanes recently in Westlake Louisiana.

Trinity was preceded in death by his wife Joan, his grandparents Owen Bays, Pearlie and Ivo Cook and Bill and Erma Foy. He is survived by his father, Lester Bays of Glenco, Oklahoma; mother and stepfather Elizabeth and Randy Roblyer of Trinidad ,Colorado;  brother and sister-in-law Wesley and Kristi Bays of Cokedale, Colorado; step sister, Heather Roblyer of Newport News, VA; his best friend and business partner, Michael Moss, Westlake, Louisiana; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and family of the heart.

A private family service will be held on the family property in New Mexico in the spring or summer.
