Troy Dee Meinke

Troy D. Meinke, 78, of Iowa died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in Cameron, LA.

Mr. Meinke was born and raised in Tulsa, OK. He has lived the past twelve years in the Lake Charles and Iowa area. He served the United States Army for fifteen years and was proud to have defended his country. Mr. Meinke, a retired Welder, worked the past fourteen years for ELFS as an Independent Contractor in the Trucking Industry. He enjoyed reading and gambling and was an avid fisherman.

He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife, Sherry Beth Meinke of Iowa; one son, Robert Bale; one daughter, Pamela Sue Buzzard; two step- children; four brothers, one sister and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

A gathering of friends will be Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home.
