Turk Patrick Stein, age 58 passed away on Monday, November 4 in San Francisco, California. He was a 1973 graduate of Sulphur High School and became an electrician. Turk was a member of IBEW Local 861 for 33 years, having spent the last 17 years in California working in his trade. He was of the Catholic faith and often felt Gods presence in the beauty of the outdoors. Turk loved to hunt, fish, camp and often cooked his game for friends and family. His favorite place to be was Holly Beach, where he danced and sang to Cajun and Swamp Pop Music. Turk is survived by his two brothers, Ray Stein of Sulphur and Todd Stein and wife, Becky of Lake Charles; two sisters, Gail Darbonne of Carlyss and Wanda Chaumont and husband, Charlie of Lake Charles; nieces, Penny Darbonne, Debbie Darbonne, Anja Richard, Kylie Chaumont and Jordan Stein; nephews, Courtney Stein, Scott Darbonne and Trey Chaumont and his beloved dog, Lil Betty . He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Marjorie Stein; his brother, David Stein and brother-in-law, Pete Darbonne. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Dore officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
