Twana Ann Duhon, 67, of Hackberry, passed away on August 25, 2014. She was known to everyone as the "Tamale Lady," making the best tamales around. Twana was an avid seamstress, a caregiver, a canvas painter, and had a wide variety of occupations throughout her life. She was loved by everyone, especially her children and family. Twana loved making jokes and seeing people laugh! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Twana is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jimmy Duhon of Hackberry; her four daughters: Cherelle Blanchard and husband, Shane; Marcie Duhon; Nicole Trahan and husband, Shannon; and Melanie Courvelle and husband, Ryan; seven grandsons: Christian and Austin Blanchard; Gaige and Kohner Trahan; Jaiden, Hunter and Garrett Courvelle; mother, Dorothy; sisters, Sharon and Brenda; and brother, Artie. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Seay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church in Hackberry with Father Gijo Ikkaramattom officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, from 3-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the church hall. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of the Mass..net
