Tyler Jordan Viator, 21, of Moss Bluff passed away early Sunday morning, October 7, 2012 in Opelousas, LA.


Tyler was born on February 26, 1991 in Lake Charles, LA. He was a 2009 graduate of Sam Houston High School and attended LSU. Tyler took great pride in his job as a host at Ember Grille and Wine Bar at L'Auberge for the past 2 years.


Tyler was a loving, precious child who will be missed by all who knew him. He was a special person who always avoided trouble and was a leader instead of a follower. He leaves behind his two dog companions, Belle and Nina.


Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted parents, Tony and Melinda Harrington Viator; two brothers, Zachary Zach Viator and Quentin Viator all of Moss Bluff; a half sister, Cara Viator McNulty and husband, Jeff of Louisville, TX; a half brother, Tony Viator, Jr. and wife Katie of Trophy Club, TX; maternal grandparents, Curtis and Ursula Harrington of Lake Charles; paternal grandmother, Julie Ayo of Flowery Branch, GA; his Godmother, Karen Mimi LaRocca of Lake Charles; his Godfather, Joe Toups of Lake Charles; and seven nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Weston Viator and maternal great grandmother, Ines Hebert.


A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Fr. Whitney Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday in the funeral home from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
