Una May Boudin Cook

Una May Boudin Cook, 84, of Lake Charles entered into Heaven, Monday, March 07, 2011 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Cook was born and raised in Calcasieu Parish and was a graduate of High School and Business College where she studied Secretarial skills. She met her husband of sixty nine years at the Chennault Air Force Base and followed his military career to many places. She and her husband settled in Lake Charles where they have lived the past thirty five years. During her younger years, Mrs. Cook worked many years as a Clerk in the Grocery Industry for Weingarten's.

She enjoyed canning and jarring fruits and vegetables. She also had a passion for studying and sharing the Word of God.

Mrs. Cook will be most remembered for her love and devotion to the Lord and her family, as a faithful servant of the Lord and for "her gift of speech".

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Leslie Smith Cook of Lake Charles; two sons, Reverend Jack L. Cook and wife Lucy of Fort Worth, TX and Reverend John I. Cook and wife Jerri Ann of Riverside, CA; twenty two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mable Trahan and husband Lee and Marie Young and husband Vernon, all of Lake Charles and one brother; Albert Boudin and wife Emma of Toledo Bend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elaire and Ezora Choate Boudin; two sisters Nit LeBleu and Elda Dartez and one brother, Johnny Boudin.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Friday, March 11, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend's Jack and John Cook will officiate. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation Thursday will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home.
