Velder Mancuso

Velder Mae Foreman Mancuso, 74, of Moss Bluff, LA, died at 7:25 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 14, 1946 in Lake Charles, LA, Mrs. Mancuso was a 1964 graduate of Marion High School, where she was on the pep squad.  She moved to Westlake in 1989 and later moved to Moss Bluff in 2013.  Mrs. Mancuso was raised in the catholic faith and worked as a hairdresser at the China Doll, later joined her brother at The Stag.  She also worked as a bail bondsman until 2003.  She enjoyed sewing, making flower arrangements, decorating for weddings and playing Bingo.

Mrs. Mancuso is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Alphonse Mancuso, Jr. of Moss Bluff; six children, Tammy Mancuso Thomas and husband David of Ragley, Angie Mancuso of Moss Bluff, Jackie Adams and husband Michael of Westlake, Leighanne Mancuso Williamson and husband Brian of Moss Bluff, Shelley Mancuso Robbins and husband Paul of Westlake, and Jack Mancuso of Moss Bluff; sister, Ann Clifton and husband V.O. of Moss Bluff; brother, Mark Foreman and wife Mitzi of Reeves, LA; grandchildren, Ethan Thomas, Layken Hodge, Kiya Williamson, Tate Dodson, Austin Dartez, Riley Dartez, Sam Adams, Laith Adams and special granddog, Tuneche.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mavy and Gabriel Foreman, Sr.; brothers, Gabriel Foreman, Jr. and Danny Foreman Sr; and god-children, Shane and Ricky Mancuso.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home in Moss Bluff on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a French Rosary at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
