Velma Kennedy

Velma Louise Fults Kennedy, 76, of Lake Charles, LA died at 6:00 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Sulphur, LA.

Mrs. Kennedy was born September 9, 1935 in Lake Charles, LA. She was the manager at Lake Charles Telco Credit Union for over twenty years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her children, Debbie Kennedy Williams and husband Don, Patrick Kennedy, and Bobby Kennedy, Jr. and wife Connie; sister, Ruth Sarvant and husband Dallas; brother, W. D. Fults and wife Patsy, C. G. Fults and wife Dianne, and Guessner Fults, Jr. and wife Billie; and three grandchildren, Ashley Jo Williams, Bonnie Jo Williams, and Carlee Kennedy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Milton Kennedy, Sr. and parents, Guessner Fults and Thelma Hebert Fults.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend John Astling will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
