Verna Mae Perry

Verna M. Perry, 72, of Sulphur, died September 19, 2012 at a local hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born February 14, 1940 in Richard, LA to Armond and Elsie Babineaux Royer. Mrs. Perry lived in Westlake for many years before moving to Sulphur and retired as a park attendant for Ponderosa Park in Westlake.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Aaron Perry; son, Randy Perry and daughter Karen Sittig. Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Ricky Perry of Lake Charles; a daughter, Linda Istre, Westlake; brother, Wilton Royer, Carlyss, LA; sisters, Nettie Ann Leger, Eunice, and Enella Doucet, Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday September 20, and continue Friday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. A Cursillo Rosary will at 6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 2:00 PM Friday September 21, 2012 at Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church with Father Jim Winiarski officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Sulphur.
