Vevia E. Ledoux

Vevia E. LeDoux, age 48, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010, at a local hospital after a brief illness.


Born December 5, 1961, in Lake Charles, she was a graduate of South Cameron High School and Sowela Technical College. She worked as a draftsman for Levingston Engineering for many years before working at ENGlobal Industries for a short time. Vevia loved bass fishing, camping, and animals. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Preceding her in death was her father, Marvin LeDoux.


Survivors include her mother, Bessie LeDoux of LeBleu Settlement; two sisters, Darlene Comeaux and husband, Jerry of LeBleu Settlement and Jackie Trouard and husband, Brent of Moss Bluff; her best friend, Maxine Williams of Ponchatoula; and a host of nieces and nephews.


Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, November 29, 2010. Father Andreas Kedati will officiate. Burial will follow in Hebert Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Monday, November 29, from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family request donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 2278, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123-1718.
