Victor "Vic" Craig Broussard

November 6, 1962 — January 12, 2023

Victor “Vic” Broussard, 60, of Bell City passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, in a local hospital.
Vic was born in Sulphur and later moved to Johnson Bayou, where he graduated from Johnson Bayou High School in 1982. He was a commercial fisherman for most of his life until Hurricane Rita in 2005; he was currently working maintenance. Vic was always smiling and never met a stranger. He enjoyed being outdoors -fishing, crabbing, and throwing his cast net. He will be remembered for his love of spending time with his family, and they will miss his “head strong” personality.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Drew Broussard of Bell City; two sisters, Debra Broussard of Grand Chenier, and Barbara East of Carlyss; and two brothers, Ernest Broussard of Albertville, AL, and Gary Broussard of Grand Chenier. He will also be greatly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Viola Broussard; brother, Carl Broussard; and sister, Wilma Broussard Feliz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hackberry. Burial will follow in Hackberry Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur, 3 – 8pm on Monday, January 16, 2023, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6pm. On Tuesday the Visitation will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church Hall.

The family wishes express a heartfelt “Thank You’ to Vic’s nieces, Wendy Hill and Alisha Primeaux, and to his best friend, Doris George, for the special care given to Victor during his illness.
