Vida Lee Denton

Simmie Lee Vida Denton, 79, passed away on March 4, 2021.  Lee was of the Pentecostal faith, loved serving the Lord, her church and was an active member of the church board. She enjoyed playing numerous instruments and singing.  She loved traveling and being around family and friends. 

Lee is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Donald “Shorty” Denton; son, Dean Lucius, Jr. wife Robyn of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Angela Dummitt husband Ben of Joppa, IL; grandchildren, Brittany Ryane, Colin and Tabatha; sister, Esther Lucius; and brother, Allen Ray Stovall.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Donnie Sue Hughes; and her parents, Sim Henry Stovall and Vida Lee Rigmaiden.

Services for Lee will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Clay Fontenot officiating.  Burial will follow at Rigmaiden Cemetery in DeQuincy.  The family will receive friends on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 5-9 PM and will resume on Tuesday from 9 AM until the time of service.
