Viola Faulk

Viola Elaine Gibson Faulk, 70, of Moss Bluff, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Faulk was born on June 27, 1947 to Melville and Edith Dugas Gibson in Lake Charles, LA. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved children and worked in childcare for over ten years. She was fondly known as “Ms. Vi” to many children and their parents. She also enjoyed shopping, going out to eat at restaurants, listening to oldies music, and dancing.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ruben Lee Faulk; son, Russell Faulk (Lorie), daughter, Melissa Owens (Wayne), daughter, Paula Hosie (Shane), daughter, Kristy Sanders (Jason); eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Gibson, and James Gibson (Judy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Orlean Brown; and niece, Jenny Wilson.

Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home at 11 AM Friday, August 4, 2017. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 PM until 8 PM, with a rosary to be recited at 6 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday from 8 AM until the start of the service.
