Viola Nunez

August 27, 1925 — October 23, 2012

Viola Nunez, 87 of Sulphur passed away on October 23, 2012 in her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Edgerly, LA under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 12-9p.m. at Robison Funeral Home with a rosary at 6p.m. followed by a cursillo rosary at 7p.m with visitation resuming on Friday at 8 a.m. until time of service. Viola was a native of Indian Bayou and a long-time resident of Sulphur. She worked at West Calcasieu Printer for 25 years. Viola was also a homemaker, a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary and the Ladys Auxiliary VFW Post 8107. She loved gardening and flowers. Viola was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Viola is survived by her husband of 70 years, Roy Nunez of Sulphur; four daughters, Gloria Smith and husband, Robert of Sulphur, Dinah Vidrine of Hackberry, Patricia Nunez of Sulphur and Glenda Green and husband, Terry of Shell Knob, MO; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Faulk and Electa Hebert; one brother, Manny Faulk; one sister, Rose Richard; and one grandson, Timothy Smith.
