Violet Rose “Nana” McManus, 81, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Violet raised six generations of children. She was a true matriarch. She was “the cook.” Her house was open to everyone. Violet loving fishing, sing, dancing and Elvis. She had a green thumb and could grow anything.
Violet is survived by four children, Tommy and wife, Deanie, Leroy and fiancé’, Stephanie, Sabrina, and Anna and husband, Josephh; one daughter in law, Krystal; her grandchildren, Donny, Freddy, Eddie, Ashley, David, Stephanie, Scotty, Tommy, Willy, Skylar, Sami, Vanna, P.J., Khloee and Juedd; 24 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Popo” McManus; one daughter Debra Sue; and one son, Scotty.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 4 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-7 PM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
We know there were hundreds of children that Mama loved and we cannot name them all but we would like to give a special thank you to Lindsey Blanchard and Brandy Broussard for all of their love, support and help.
