Virgil Don Drummond, Jr.

 Virgil Don Drummond, Jr., 91, previously from Tulsa, OK/Las Vegas, NV, passed away, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Lake Charles, LA.

Virgil Drummond was born, July 4, 1930 in Tulsa, OK and has lived in Lake Charles, LA since 2017.  Virgil was a veteran of both Marines and Air Force.  He served his country for 15 years before leaving and moving to Tulsa, OK with his wife, Marjorie and five children.  He enjoyed life with his family, motorcycles, square dancing and traveling.  He was a well-traveled man.  He was employed by Western Union as a communication technician until he retired.

Virgil is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice M. Drummond of Lake Charles; sons, Steven Drummond (Elena) of Tulsa, OK and Paul Drummond (Annette) of Rogers, AR; daughters, Lee Anne Ellis of Salem, AR and Victoria Sue True of Tulsa, OK; step-daughter, Elizabeth Anne Bowers (Joe) of Lake Charles, LA; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel Wood Vincze and Virgil Don Drummond, Sr.; daughter, Scotty Kaye Dezeeuw Cooper; grandson, Curtis Don Drummond; and granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Bowers.

Virgil will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather.

His cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
