Virginia "Ginger" Gamble

Virginia “Ginger” Gamble, 65, of Sulphur passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, in her residence.

Ginger attended Sulphur High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Butler County Community College. She loved working as a traveling nurse; before retiring she was employed with St Patrick’s Extended Care. Ginger was a loving mother and “Nana”. She was kindhearted, and always had good intentions with a little “stubborn” streak. She will be remembered for her love of practical jokes, and her loud and unique laugh that was contagious.                                        

Left to cherish Virginia’s memory are her children, Kelli Gibbons Broussard and husband Jacques, Randall Gibbons and wife Lenore; her siblings, Phillip Gamble and wife Diane, Linda Foster, Cindy Carr and husband Rusty, Connie Herick and husband David, Stevie “WeeWee” Gamble, Timothy Gamble and Karen, Darrell Gamble and wife Connie; grandchildren, Jonathan Qualls, Jacob Qualls, Jace Gibbons, Landon Gibbons, Abby Hayes and Christian Hayes. 

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maxine Gamble; and brother Ronald Gamble.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, June 27, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, La.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
