Virginia "Jenny" Farris

Virginia "Jenny" Humphrey Farris, 66, of Lake Charles, LA passed away on Friday, April 04, 2014 at a local care facility. Jenny was born on October 31, 1947 in Lake Charles, LA where she resided all her life. She loved painting, doing arts and crafts, making desserts, and bringing her dog Blizzard to the dog park. But most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. She will be remembered for her amazing personality, beautiful smile, and kind heart. While enjoying the outdoors she also liked to ride horses and play with her dogs. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband and best friend of 45 years, Billy Ray Farris of Lake Charles, three sons, Brian Farris and wife Lucy of Rock hill, South Carolina, Carl Farris and wife Belinda of Lake Charles, LA and Billy Nab Farris of Lake Charles, LA; three sister, Judy Humphrey, Ann Cole, Nancy Humphrey; two brothers, Russell Humphrey and Thurman Humphrey; six grandchildren, Russell and "Achli" Farris, Trent and Julie Farris, Clint and Andrea Farris, Dawn Farris, and Brandi and Lerry Dowell; 13 great grandchildren, her dog Blizzard, and numerous other family. She will join her father, William "Bill" Humphrey; mother, Catherine Humphrey; and grandson, Carl Farris Jr. "CJ" in heaven with the lord. Pallbearers are Russell Farris, Clint Farris, Trent Farris, Carl Farris, Brian Farris, and Clint Farris Jr. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Rick McClain will officiate services. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park.
