Virginia "Jenny" Louise Lanier

Virginia “Jenny” Louise Jeghers LaNier, 75, passed away on March 6, 2022.  Jenny was born February 13, 1947.  Jenny loved country music, especially Willie Nelson and Ray Price, antiques, chicken décor, cajun food, blue bell ice cream, winning at the casinos, growing flowers, watching birds and the state of Texas, especially Fredericksburg.  Watching women’s basketball and true crime TV dramas was also a passion of hers.  Jenny was a cancer survivor and enjoyed making all kinds of crafts. 

Jenny is survived by her daughter, Amanda “AJ” LaNier and spouse, Hannah Williams; stepdaughter, Jeannie LaNier Langham and spouse, Scott Langham; two grandchildren, Kristen Beatty and Will Covington; as well as a large family of cousins, nieces and good friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” LaNier; her father, Roland “Buddy” Jeghers; her mother, Vivian Hoffpauir Jeghers; and her brother, Gerald Jeghers. 

Services for Jenny will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 2 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 1-5 PM.  Graveside committal will be on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 10 AM at Royer Cemetery in Sulphur.
