Virginia Nann Blossom Little, 88, of Sulphur, LA passed away peacefully at 5:35 p.m. on December 20, 2013 surrounded by her family. Virginia was born in Forest, MS on June 27, 1925. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from Mississippi Southern College in 1950. She has been a resident of Sulphur, LA since 1968. Virginia was a retired kindergarten teacher from Calcasieu Parish School Board. She was a devoted Easter Star member for 69 years, and was Worthy Matron of Love Chapter #209 in 1984. Virginia was a past member of Lake Charles Enterprise Club, and she especially enjoyed her volunteer work with the Ladies Auxiliary of West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital, where she served for over twenty years. She was a longtime member of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church. Virginia was a great conversationalist with a witty sense of humor, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Gus Thomas Little, Jr.; her three sons, Thomas Little and wife Jan, Robert Little and wife Nikki, and James Little and wife Ellen; and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Dessie Blossom, and siblings Lucille Blossom Hudson, Helen Blossom Klausaman, and Charles Blossom. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur from __ p.m. to __ p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23 at __ a.m. at Henning Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
