Vivian Cichowski

Our beautiful mother, grandmother, wife and friend, Vivian Broussard Cichowski, (86) entered Heaven on April 29, 2015. She was born on January 16, 1929 in Breaux Bridge, LA but was a resident of Lake Charles most of her life. Vivian was loving, outgoing and so passionate about life. She was a wonderful stay-at-home mom being room mother at school, chef at home, cheerleader at sporting events and an advocate for those less fortunate. Vivian was an amazingly generous person and would give you the shirt off her back and insist on throwing in the matching earrings and lipstick. She loved Johnny Mathis, Bill Clinton, gambling in Las Vegas, dancing, singing the French National Anthem and traveling. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years Marvin Cichowski, children Carolyn Diaz, Carmen Diaz, and Elizabeth Brown (Frank). She will be missed by her grandchildren Michael, Sarah, Reagan, Michael A., Joseph, Annah, great grandchildren Jagger and Deziel Diaz and sisters Doris Calais, Jane Comeaux and many nieces and nephews. Vivian was greeted in Heaven by her favorite child (all of our favorite) Joey Diaz, her brother Roy Broussard and parents Gilman and Armine Broussard. Surely mom and Joey are laughing hysterically at something Joey has just said. Although she will be missed we know Vivian lived life to the fullest and left nothing on the table. A special thanks to Sarah Brown for caring so kindly for her grandmother until the end. A chapter has closed for mom and another just opened. We love you Mom! In lieu of flowers give to those who need a helping hand. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM Monday, May 4, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Monday, May 4, 2015 at Lacassine Cemetery. Frank Brown will officiate services.
