Wanda Geneva "Nevie" Corbello

Wanda Geneva “Nevie” Corbello, 86, passed away on May 26, 2018 in the comfort of her own home.

Mrs. Corbello was born in Anacoco, LA and has lived 73 years in the Lake Charles area. She cherished her family and is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Pam Burgin of Lake Charles, and Debra McCauley (Daryl) of Iowa, LA; son, Daryl Corbello (Kim) of Lake Charles; 2 sisters, Ada (Bee) Paris of Moss Bluff, and Betty Gary of Lake Charles; and a brother, Rev. Wayne Moore (Glenda) of Haughton, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd D. Corbello; parents, Charles and Ethel Moore; 2 sisters, Viloa Sanders, and Flo Fontenot; and 3 brothers, Ernest Moore, Burnest Moore, and Homer Moore; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11AM. Burial will follow at LeBleu Cemetery. Rev. Grady O'Neil will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 29 from 6PM to 9PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Wednesday morning at 10AM until the start of the service.
