Wanda Marie Morris

Wanda Marie Morris passed away July 7, 2021 at home in Lake Charles, LA at the age of 59. 

She was born on July 29, 1961 in Lake Charles to Lawrence and Janet Neighly LeBlanc.  She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, and attended Grand Lake High School.  She will be remembered as the manager of Ms. Burger on Common Street.  She served as manager for twenty years until 2005.  Most of all, she loved her family and loved spending time together with them.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her beloved husband of 41 years, Charles David Morris; her children, Joseph Morris, Michael Morris, both of Lake Charles, James Morris of Corpus Christi, TX, Casey Morris of Texas, Holly Miller (Albert) of Bridgeton, NJ, Carmen Roxanne Smith (Jeremy) of Iowa, LA, and Kirstie Frick (John) of Houston, TX, and her sister, Darlene White (Wendell) of Hecker, LA; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Erin Morris.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.  Chaplain Alex Geovanni will officiate.  Visitation will be at University Baptist Church from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 10.
