Wanda Sue Peshoff

December 27, 1947 — March 31, 2015

Wanda Sue Ritter Peshoff, 67, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, with her faithful family at her side. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana to William Edward and Hazel Oree Neal Ritter, Mrs. Peshoff moved to Lake Charles in 1966, where she married her husband and raised her sons. She worked for Fire Safety for thirty years, retiring as Office Manager in 2004. She was a faithful member of Moss Bluff Bible Church. Her greatest joys were cooking for and spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Mrs. Peshoff is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Joe G. Peshoff; two sons, Joe G. Peshoff, II and wife Kim of Moss Bluff and Chad Peshoff and wife Denise of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Grant, Tyler, Tanner and Karli Peshoff; three brothers, Charles Ritter and wife Sally of Shreveport, Mike Ritter and wife Daphne of Haughton, and Ken Ritter and wife Alice of Terrell, Texas; and three sisters, Mildred Dew of Many, Billie Jean Whitfield and husband Frankie of Shreveport, and Marcille Lehr of Zwolle; and 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Oree Ritter, and nephews Carlton and Byron Lehr. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Moss Bluff Bible Church. Reverend Jeremy Smith will officiate. Interment will be at New Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 1 until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service. The family would like to express their grateful appreciation to Harbor Hospice for the compassionate care given to their beloved wife and mother.
