Warren Guidry, 78, of Lake Charles died at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2020 in a local care facility.
Mr. Guidry was born in Gueydan, Louisiana on June 29, 1941. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a painter and member of the Painters Union. He was a devoted husband and father and was a compassionate grandfather. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was rough and gruff with a golden heart.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Wanda Nevils Guidry of 23 years; two daughters, Leah G. and husband Darryl Dupre of Lake Charles and Meagon N. and husband Adam Roberts Breaux Bridge, LA; two sons, Warren Jefferey and wife Jodie Guidry of Lake Charles and Junior Nevils and husband Kyle Cullen of Lake Charles; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Guidry; his parents, Lester and Jane Guidry; his brothers-in-law, Chester “Pete” Monceaux and Lavon “Red” Whitlock.
In compliance with current state regulations, private services will be held under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Consolata Cemetery.
